Rene Marie Russo (born Rene Marie Russo) is an American film actress, former supermodel and filmmaker. Apart from her beautiful appearance, her steady success in the competitive film industry can be attributed to her talents as a performer. In the 1970s the model began her career, and soon became one of the leading names in this field. Then, in the mid 1990s she started studying the theatre and acting. Later, in Los Angeles and California she made her first stage appearances. The year 1987 saw Russo was the lead character Eden Kendell in ABC's drama Sable. Her first major movie, Major League was released two years later. Russo portrayed Tom Berengers 'love interest. Although she was initially skeptical of her abilities in the field of acting, public was enticed by her stamina. In Wolfgang Petersens Outbreak she was particularly lauded by the critics for the way she performed in the face of Dustin Hoffman, Morgan Freeman as well as other actors. However, according to her own words she was never passionate about the acting. She was in 2005 when she took to a break, which was self-imposed. In the movie Thor the actress returned to acting. Rose Namajunas, one of the most well-known female UFC athletes, is an extremely successful athlete. She started out as an amateur fighter who participated in regional competitions prior to signing with Invicta Fighting Championships. Then she became a member of in the Ultimate Fighting Championships. Namajunas has racked up a lot of attention after joining the UFC due to both her inside and outside the octagon success. Namajunas was born on June 29th on the 29th of June, 1992 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian Immigrant family. Rose participated in kickboxing and basketball as a child. Invicta Fighting Championships signed the 18-year-old at the age of 18, and went on to win 2 fights via submission. Dana White noticed this and in December 2014, at age 22, she signed for a fight as a strawweight for UFC. Rose has experienced highs as well as her lows as well throughout her career but always came out on the top. Rose was a fighter against Carla Esparza on April 15, 2015, for the Women s Strawweight Championship. Rose defeated Esparza by a technical knockout within less than 3 minute of round One. Rose not only got the title, but also was recognized as Fighter Of The Night. Rose also made MMA historical with her fight since she was the first woman to compete in a title fight within an organization that is a major one. Namajunas had several successful fights after this win, which included defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk on two occasions. The win brought Namajunas Performance Of The Night recognition from UFC.
